Arsenal pre-season matches

Arsenal are preparing for the league start (in a month time, yippee !!) with a couple of pre-season friendly matches. These friendy matches are important to get their fitness ready. Its also a starting ground for the new players to learn the team gamestyle, adapting n build the understanding with other team mates.

last 14/7/07, they went against barnet and managed a 2:0 win with goals from adebayor & this new lad Nacer Barazite (which aku sendiri tak pernah kenal before, but he's with the reserve team dulu). anyway, the defence are quite shaky at first. probably sebab game pertama diorang lepas berehat for a few months. but the team start to pickup momentum after adebayor's first goal. the game then went quite well right after. From what i heard, fabianski played well with a coupla good saves, tho org komen dia ni mcm style lehman skit, suka kuar from his box to stop the ball. van persie had a good game, nasib je tak dapat score with fine header try. adebayor walaupun score but still a bit edgy with his first time shots. but the player who stood out significantly is theo walcott, tak cukup angin barnet nye defend nak catch up. we will see more involvement of him this upcoming season compared to last season.

now the team is in Austria for a pre-season tour. in fact last nite they played against Genclerbirligi (turkish team) and managed an impressive 3:0 win with an impressive standards of gameplay to go along. bakary sagna & dudu had their game debut. but dudu masuk a bit late, and he managed to outpaced the defender and deliver a good cross to ljungberg, tapi ljungberg headed wide. the goals were mainly contributed by our attacking trio walcott, van persie & adebayor. this time around, the media was full of praise for walcott with his outstanding performance. he managed to both score n assist. van persie scored two goals, with the other goal being set up by adebayor. click below to view the goals:
