A sweet win AGAIN over our derby rival. Majority of the first half, we control the game with our posessions. However, the lack of end results seems to send the fans biting their mitts at the emirates (and of coz me biting the vege tosai at Syed keramat, Malaysia). RvP was not in the team, probably due to a last minute injury. Ade was left alone as main striker with Hleb playing a bit of a lower position as a support striker cum attacking mid. (Hurmm.. same position as Henry-Bergkamp during their duo powerhouse era.. hurmmm.. ponder...)
Before the game, i was full of confident for us to grab 3 points. My only wary is for robbie keane. This guy was out injured for quite some time before the game that day which mark his return. He was keen to show something to his new bos mr. Ramos (yg tak berambut ramos pun tapi lurus n a lil wavy instead). Namun begitu, ku sangkakan hujan ke petang, namun panas di tgh hari, which is a good thing for us, hehe. Congrats for fumbling the penalty kick n congrats also to our mighty almunia for the super save. I can almost see in the background screen the reflection of Lehmann packing his stuffs n ready to book the plane back to Germany.
The penalty save seems to be the turning point for us. I dunno ape kata2 hikmat ramos during half time teamtalk, coz spurs upsurgence was clearly visible in the 2nd half. They control the game after Ade scored our 1st. They finally managed an equalizer thru a superb goal from Berbatov (giler la shot dia ni, tah mana tah dia dapat angle to shoot.. undeniably the force is great in this one.. except his constant grumble of coz). And spurs was finally awarded a penalty caused by a bad tackle from king kolo, which could make them take the lead. But when Keane fail to convert, its a mental blow for them and the confidence level started sinking in again.
A super thumping header from Bendtner was all we need to kill the game. What a leap! Full of power! And its his first touch as well after being brought in! This lad is proving something to everyone. He took his opportunity well to deliver when needed.
However my Man of the Match that nite still goes to Manuel Almunia. He's on fire at the moment. Apart from Berbatov's goal which i dont think Lehmann could save that one as well anyway, Almunia was sensational with many supersaves & shotstoppers. From my opinion, the Almunia for England hype should greatly be considered. But knowing Englishmen pride, i guess its not going to happen anyway.
Conclusion about the game, its an average performance from all, but outstanding for few. Overall, we did'nt play at our best and we let them took control, however still we grab the 3 points needed to ensure our position still remain on top of Manure no matter what.
