'Freddie is very confident about what the future holds at Arsenal, despite Thierry leaving. He is very confident in the team and the club and in Mr Wenger, so it is a very good situation to be in.'
Despite all the hockamamie since early this week, he stated his confidence with the team, club & wenger. Thats good to hear.
In fact he once said during arsenal.com interview aritu:
“This will be my 10th season with Arsenal and I cannot wait to start the season with them. I am very much looking forward to the opening game against Fulham. It is great to start the season with a London derby.”
by the way, his 10th season already?! he’s due a testimonial next season.
If we look at the statistics, Freddie tak banyak pun dapat 1st team place last year. This is mainly due to his repetitive ankle injury. Elok je.. main jap.. injured balik. Elok je.. main jap.. injured balik.
Last year, he managed to make a 1st team league appearance for only 18 games, without scoring nor assist. for fa cup, freddie just dapat main 3 game (score sebijik), and for champs league main 5 game (score 1 gak). so kalau tak ambik kira league game, kira ok la tu.. at least we knew the fire is still there within him, cuma telah di-dampenkan oleh injury problem. During his primetime, we saw that fire in the form of jambul merah kat kepala.. hehe.
ganas seyyy jambul merah abang dulu.. :pFor me his presence does matters to the team whether dia contribute sikit or banyak. After Titi left, he's the most senior player at Arsenal rite now. So the younger lads do look up to him ~ experience-wise. He had already made captain for the swedish team last year (gantikan olof mellberg). For the next season, kalau form dia tip top & selalu main, we might even consider him as our next captain as well. (but yeah i know.. gilberto or toure will fare better)
